Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Can we buy tickets on the day of the event.

Answer: Yes, but we recommend buying them sooner because we bump up the price as the event draws closer. Get your tickets early to save some money! You can buy your tickets here

Question: Is the event kid friendly?

Answer: Yes, kids are welcome to come, and we have separate kids pricing where we sell tickets. All minors under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Question: Can we bring blankets, lawn chairs, shade tents?

Answer: Sure! We’ll have some tents, tables, and chairs, but not enough for everyone, so by all means bring some blankets and/or lawn chairs of your own!

Question: Can we bring in outside food and drink?

Answer: You can NOT bring in outside alcohol. We will have some alcoholic beverages available for purchase. We will also have non-alcoholic beverages available for purchase. It is okay if you bring in some outside food, especially if you’re camping and need something for the next morning, but we really prefer and encourage you to support the food vendors. Their food will be delicious!

Question: Can we bring pets?

Answer: Sorry but no (long story about our dog being quarantined).

Question: Are there other things we should bring?

Answer: You might want halfway decent shoes for the prairie walk and sculpture garden, but it’s not a major hike or anything if you just prefer sandals. You might want some sunscreen, a water bottle that you can refill, a hat, sunglasses, and something warm to put on if it cools down in the evening. If you’re camping, obviously bring your basic camping stuff. We’ll have water and porta potties.

Question: Is there a schedule for the shuttle bus?

Answer: The bus will run continuously starting at 12:30 pm and going until 12:30 am, and then it will run again for campers on Sunday morning from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. The driver might take a break here and there, especially during slower times. The ride is less than 10 minutes each way from Brix Cider to Donald Farm. While there is not an exact schedule for the bus, it should never be a terribly long wait. If you’re at Brix and you just missed the shuttle, you might as well pop in, grab a drink, and enjoy it. NEW THIS YEAR we plan to have a second bus running at the end of the event when a lot of people are leaving.

Question: Is it just tent camping?

Answer: Yes, just tent camping. NEW THIS YEAR we will have a golf cart to help you move your camping stuff from the drop off space by the entrance to your camping spot.

Question: Is this event clothing optional?

Answer: No. We’re governed by the laws of Wisconsin in which there are some rules about indecent exposure, and we haven’t made any attempts to find the potential exceptions to the rules. You’ll therefore have to keep some clothes on. Have fun with it though - dress up, where a costume, whatever suits you :)

Question: Is this event related to Burning Man?

Answer: Not really, but we do draw inspiration from some of the Burning Man principles like the radical self expression, radical inclusion, and communal effort in particular. This is not a “sanctioned burner event.”

Question: What happens if it rains?

Answer: We don’t really have a great Plan B, to be honest, so we’re just praying to the Burning Troll gods and hoping they deliver us some nice weather!
